【Sneko】The Wait for the Graduation Results Begins...

Hello, everyone!  If you've been keeping up with posts, you'll know that us Mini Cherries were recently busy covering and learning dances as part of our Graduation Placement test in Oishii! Project. 

Needless to say, I'm really nervous because the results will be announced tomorrow...  ;(●´･д･`●);

I wrote my thoughts on the process previously in this post, as well as my thoughts on what groups I would fit in to.

We had to do another cover, only a live version to show how we could handle singing and dancing. Here's my attempt at Ponytail to Shushu! 

I actually really liked Ponytail to Shushu! Those that know me, know I'm a huge AKB48 fan. I relate a lot with Oshima Yuuko 'cause she has a similar personality and honestly, if I was surrounded by all those idols, I too would want to kiss them and hug them. (ﾉ)´∀｀(ヾ)

For me, the performance cover was the easiest part. I perform as Sneko at conventions sometimes, and am also the leader of my own group, Starberry, where I sing and dance all of our songs.

Tomorrow... the results will be announced. I really wonder where I'll go.

Not just me, but all the Mini Cherries are really anxious. As for me, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. （)´д`(）

During this period, I helped some of the Mini Cherries learn the dances through online video chatting. We would dance for hours, while I instructed them on the steps. It was a first for me, being depended on like this, and also a first time teaching a full dance! I learned a lot through the experience, and for the first time, I felt like I was able to give back to my members and my group.

I felt needed.

I felt really proud of all the girls for making it this far. Thank you for those that put up with me. Teaching for me was a new experience, but I learned so many things because of it and got to become closer with a lot of you. (●´∀｀●) 

 For now, I'll wish you all reading this a good night! I'll be staying up tonight for a long time...

【Sneko】ZIGG ZAGG | Thoughts & Progress on O!MC's Graduation Test

Konnichinya, everyone! Sneko here~

Today I wanted to show you all my ZIGG-ZAGG cover! I worked really hard on this! Even though I already knew it, I practiced hard for a whole month to refine this dance until I felt more confident in it! I also helped teach some of my fellow Mini Cherries the dance! It was my first time teaching someone a dance online and it was exciting and new~

I had to learn how to count dance beats and had to come up with new ways to make a certain step stick in everyone's mind, so I would often make funny noises or names to go with the steps.  (/ω＼)




Recently, all of the Mini Cherries have been talking about what will happen during graduation. It's really exciting and scary too. For me in particular it's been challenging. Since we're being judged on how well we do on these song and dance covers, I want to do my best right now. Nothing else matters at the moment.

I've said it before, but I'm most confident in my voice-- however, I feel like I haven't been able to show all of what I can do with it yet. That's why I'm a little worried.

But no matter what, I want to be the pink member. Someone mentioned 'What about Lychee?' and actually, I find Lychee adorable, but somehow, I don't think it fits me! Not to mention, I wouldn't be able to monopolize baby pink as my color! ｡：ﾟ(｡ﾉω＼｡)ﾟ･｡

That being said, I don't think Kiwi fits me either. Rather, I don't think I fit with any group. I'm a strange member. I'm short and enjoy dressing cute... but if I were to describe my personality... maybe I would fit in with that of Makoto from Idolm@ster.

A pure-hearted girl who wants to embrace her femininity more, but due to old habits and her experience and upbringing, finds it hard to contain that rougher, louder side of her.

Because of this talk about what group fits each member best, some of the Mini Cherries and I made a joke about how we'd graduate into Oishii! Ringo, a new group with girls with spunky, mature voices, but with weird personalities. I guess girls who wouldn't fit into either Lychee or Kiwi! www

If I had a say in this, though. I think I would definitely want to be in Ichigo! (｀・ω・´)” Strawberry Neko = Sneko and Strawberry = Ichigo. PERFECT RIGHT??? (laughs nervously)

...Just kidding~!

I really wonder where I'll go!

Please judge me well, Oishii staff! I want to be put into the group that will make the utmost out of my deep voice, silly personality, and sometimes inappropriate fujoshi self~ (／。＼)

Sneko here!

I'm just your average girl with big dreams~! 

Ever since I was young, I've loved singing and drawing the most. I've been covering my favorite songs on youtube since I was young on my account Snekoko. Even though I'm really shy and I find it hard to talk to people, I feel really comfortable when I'm performing in front of people and I feel I can really be myself. Is that weird? 【・ヘ・】

My goal in Oishii Project is to be the baby-pink member! I think its going to be hard, but my love for pink can't be beat! Really! All of my gaming consoles are pink, and even my laptop is pink! My room is also a really nice shade of pink~ (●´∀｀●)

Let's see... I'm a bit of a fujoshi... (Okay, I'm a REALLY big fujoshi), but that's okay, right?
Right?! ヽ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ

As crazy as it sounds, my biggest dream, aside from being a Jpop singer in Japan one day, is to illustrate my own BL series~ *0* 

Aside from yaoi, pink, drawing, and Jpop, my other biggest love is for Tokyo Mew Mew. It was one of the first anime I saw (that I recognized as anime) and was also linked to the first Jpop song I heard~

I have a lot of Tokyo Mew Mew paraphernalia in my room. （*´▽｀*）

And that was just a small preview of what I own!

My stage name "Sneko" even originated from Tokyo Mew Mew. My friends from an old forum I used to frequent dubbed me "Sneko" as a shortened version of Strawberry Neko, a reference to Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew.

Ah.... I think I went on quite a bit!

There's big things happening in Oishii Project and I'll be working super-extra hard to accomplish my goal!

53. Sneko

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my room!

皆さん、こんにちは!
ようこそ、Snekoのルームへ！私の部屋はすごくピンクですw  

本当にピンクがすきです！

ベッド。ちょっとめちゃくちゃ。

Here we have my bed! It’s a little messy right now, sorry!

Rolandのキーボードなので「ローランドくん」って名前付けてみましたｗ。

Here’s my keyboard, Roland-kun, my Mew Ichigo wig, lamp, full shot of the bed (with another underneath), and my dresser.

テレビとラップトップ! マイクとランプ!

Over here is my ‘nico station’ which also doubles as my workout and rehearsal station. I usually plug my computer to the TV via HDMI cable to view the dances I’m learning from a distance. My actual practice space is usually the area next to my bed, but since family’s staying over and there’s an extra bed in my room, I usually practice in between both beds!

My microphone is usually there for nico streams, and the lamp is usually facing me to provide some lighting! Usually, my webcam is perched on top of the TV, but I was using it to snap these pictures!

I’m sorry for the mess on my desk! Since my relatives are also staying in my room, I don’t have many places to put all my things.
I use the cabinets to put away my drawings, writing utensils, stationary, microphones and sound equipment, as well as fabric, books, and other stuff!

49. Sneko

New Years is finally coming… Somehow, it’s a little exciting. I feel like this year, I can finally commit to my resolutions!

Lately, I’ve been working really hard with my dancers to prepare for two shows coming up, TAKII and Kotoricon. I will be performing a variety of songs at and my wonderful dancers will be helping out!  We have some really fun and exciting songs ready to perform and I can’t wait to do them! Some even include party poppers and confetti cannons! *0*

At rehearsals, even though we practice a lot, we also find time to just lounge around and have fun. Somehow, I’m always the one to make a punny joke, so I’ve been dubbed the oyaji  for my use of puns and wordplay… orz

I’m writing this on the 28^th, one day before TAKII. We got our last rehearsal done as well as a crafts session to make matching neck bows for our performance! I think we’re all going to look super cute! Ahhh… I can’t wait!

I’ve never been very good at interacting with people. I’m always awkward and stiff but somehow on stage, I feel more confident and at home.  That’s why, I can’t wait to perform!

My New Year’s resolutions are to become more comfortable around people, a better performer, become a little more known, become healthier, and travel to Japan. I also wish to perform at least once in Japan this year! I know the last one is a little far-fetched, but it’s definitely not impossible, and I really want to give it my all this year. 

Well, that’s all for now! I have to go pack and finish some crafts for tomorrow! I’m super excited!

36. Sneko

Hello, everyone, my name is Sneko and it’s a pleasure to meet you! I hope you will watch over me from now on as I embark on my journey to become a full-fledged idol. I know I have a super long way to go, but with your support and motivation, I know I can do it!

I was born on November 16th, a month earlier than my expected date of birth. As a result, I find myself getting sick a lot, because of my overall weak immune system, and the added burden of having asthma. I want to work hard to get healthier for myself and for my future in Oishii Project so that I can perform to my highest potential! (ﾉ￣д￣)ﾉ

I have a weak spot for strawberry-themed items and cute clothing~ I like collecting cute mechanical pencils since I like to draw a lot and recently, my hobby has extended to collecting stationary and pens as well! *A*;;

If there’s one way to describe me… I’d guess it’d be that I’m a die-hard Tokyo Mew Mew fan! I collect a lot of Tokyo Mew Mew stuff. I must have over $2,000 worth of Tokyo Mew Mew stuff… OTL
I own all of Ichigo’s weapons, including a spare of her main weapon for cosplay, and I own all the rare prints of the English manga (with glitter titles). I even own figures of Ichigo and the limited edition box and figure set of the PS1 game. I even drew her on my wall! *0*

My favorite color? Can you guess?

It’s pink!

Everything I own is pink! My room, my laptop, my video-game consoles, brushes, bags, bed—everything! Pink is a very common response, but for me, pink is part of what makes Sneko “Sneko”. 

My love for the color pink and strawberries stems from my favorite mahou shoujo character, Mew Ichigo, the protagonist to Tokyo Mew Mew. She transforms into a pink-haired magical catgirl! She’s super adorable and I don’t think any other anime character could ever compare to her charms. When I was younger, I tried to dress like her and mirror her actions and speech. Ah, so embarrassing! *////*

I’ll let you in a secret! Did you know that my name is actually a reference to her? The name “Sneko” was actually a nickname I was given when my username was Strawberry Neko (“Strawberry Cat”).

Wah, embarrassing! But still, it’s a special name given to me by special friends, which is why I’ve kept my name. For me, my name holds a lot of precious memories. Similarly, Tokyo Mew Mew was the start of everything for me, which is why I hold it so dear to my heart. I truly believe, somehow, its how I’m here today! But maybe I’ll delve into that in another blog post… but only if you’re interested!

My favorite singers are myco and HIMEKA, and recently, I find myself starstruck by AKB48’s Mayu Watanabe! She’s really cute! I want to be cute like her oneday, but it might be impossible. TT___TT

HIMEKA is one of my biggest inspirations because like me, she started off covering videos on youtube. She later moved to Japan to chase her dreams and through perseverance and sheer talent, she finally won an anison audition and debuted as a singer, despite being a foreigner. I want to be like that one day! She has the ideal singing voice I’d like to have. She has a strong vocal presence and her voice is like that of a goddess. I’d definitely like to be able to sing at her level someday. I like the singer myco for a similar reason. Her vibrato is unique and her voice can be sweet and delicate or strong and mature. I like it when singers have a different styles in their voice, but can still have a very distinct sound that sets them apart from the rest. One day, I want to develop my own distinct Sneko sound. ヽ(○´∀`)ﾉ♪

I’m going to wrap this up, ‘cause this was a little long, haha. *^*;;

I’m extremely grateful that I was given such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this and I’m going to give it my all! I’m grateful to you, too! Yes, you! The reader! I thank you for reading this!

It’s been my dream since I first began covering to become a J-pop singer and make my debut in Japan and through this group; I’m hoping to get one step closer to my goal. I’m not sure what my special charm is yet, but I’m confident that as a member of Oishii!Project, I’ll find it! For now, I’ll work hard on becoming raising my stamina and becoming healthier as well as developing a distinct voice that is uniquely Sneko! I hope you’ll watch over my progress and cheer me on!
