What have I been up to this summer... PART 1

Puri~Puri~Puri~! IT'S SUMMER TIME!

Hello everyone! Did you miss me? I haven't done a blog post in a while, I am excited to finally be using the blogger account. Ah, summer; warmer temperatures, the beach, cool drinks, summer romance, summer is definitely one of my favourite time of year! Today I will be talking about what I have done in the first part of summer 2013; GAH it's almost done already?!

Me and my good friend Sarah D went on a shopping trip together! We were both in lolita. We went to a local artist meetup called Minicomi then to Aberdeen centre in Richmond. (This explains why my dress looks so crinkled, it was the end of a long day of travel!) Do you like my Baby dress? It's very county isn't it o v o I bought a lot of stuff -cough probablytoomuch cough- as you can see. I can't help myself when I see cute things...

Next it was my friend Rise's 18th Birthday! I wanted to make her something special so I sewed this hair bow and I made her some lemon body scrub! It was a little tedious and I get frustrated easily (especially when my machine jams or I add a wrong ingredient haha) but it was worth it, she really enjoyed them~

Finally something I've been doing a heck of a lot this summer is going to the beach! :D I can't tan because my skin is too fair but that's nothing a little sun screen won't fix. Swimming is my favourite part because... swim suits ; 7 ; This is a new one I just got this year- very retro for me~ What do you think of it?

Puri~Puri~Puri~! Happy Belated Valentine’s Day!

But wait! I’ll talk about valentines later, first, I’d like to tell you about what I did earlier in February. A couple of my friends from school have their own band, “All Four Sides", they performed at the Tom Lee music hall downtown in “the Battle of the Bands". Me and my friends went to go support them! We made a bit of an outing of it~

We all went to go have dinner first at a really good crepe place before the show. I didn’t have a sweet crepe, but a savory one, a chicken/egg/cheese/mayo one! Man it was good~ But I did have something good and sweet! A Nutella milkshake. Oh. My. God. It was incredibly delicious. I split one with a friend and once everyone had a sip, everyone else ended up ordering one too haha. After that, we made our way to the show. We saw a lot of good bands, lots of talented young people out there!

Now onto what happened for Valentine’s Day! Turned out, I actually performed on that Thursday but for a different event. My school hold a whole week of events every year to celebrate the different New Year celebrations that happen around the world. I sang on the Philipino New Year’s day even though I was singing in japanese haha. I sung Fuwa Fuwa Time from the Anime K-on!! It was a lot of fun and I hope I can maybe sing that song at conventions this year! (Especially now that I’ve got the difficult lyric parts down~) 

This is what I wore to perform in. I know, it’s not very… “fuwa fuwa" or “lovey-dovey" but um… I love my Metamorphose Temps de Fille boots? ; 7 ; And I don’t get to wear them often enough. That baggy sweater makes me look chubby … but it’s so comfy ; v ;

Puri~Puri~Puri~! This Pudding Princess is on Semester Break!

Hello everyone! I’ve had some time to update and work on many things these past couple of days because I have now finished all of my first semester course work. I just finished 2 French courses, Chemistry 11, and Precal 11! Whew~ was that ever a lot of work - v - This semester I will have Physics 11, Precal 12, Social Studies, and … Japanese 11!! YAY! I’ve been really looking to improve my Japanese and I took the Introductory Japanese 11 course in grade 9 but my schedule did not allow any room for it last year but I can take it this year! Please wish me luck in my upcoming school work~

So what I did this break was … uh ;; play a lot of video games! :’D Lots of Animal Crossing and Harvest moon~ So much fun! It was a good break to have after all of the exams and projects I had to finish. I worked really hard the second half of the first semester (I managed to get A’s on the last 5 math tests I had to do in the course! ; 7 ;) so to keep my self motivated, me and my friend, who is also a lover of all Asian and cute things went out and bought…

NEW CUTE SCHOOL SUPPLIES / ( ; v ; ) /

What better way to do well in school than to finish every sentence with a Hello Kitty pen or measure the side of a triangle with a rilakkuma ruler?~ That same day, me and my friend had gone with a group for gelato and Japanese food. We got our cute little finds at the Asian shopping centre so we were in a very cutesy-japanese mood. I had also remembered that I had just downloaded a new Purikura app on my phone so while we waited for my mum to pick us up…

Hahahahaha… ;; > v > We got carried a way a little!~ Well on that silly note, I will leave you with that!

Puri~Puri~Puri~! High✰Tension Cute!~ I’ve put my spell on you \ ( > v < ) \

Now that I have your attention, hello readers of the Mini Cherry blog! My name is Miri Purin! But you may call me Miri or whatever suits your fancy. This is definitely exciting to be writing my first blog entry as a Mini Cherry, it feels so real now! This first entry will be short, sweet, and to the point. 

I have been dancing for the vast majority of my life as well as singing but in I would say the last 5 years, I’ve really started to take it seriously, trying to improve and all that. It was also 5 years ago when my fascination with Japanese culture began. I was just so intrigued by the whole “aidoru" culture as it were. Basically all I listened to for 2 years straight was anything that came out from Hello!Project haha. My obsession progressed into being more interested into Japanese fashion and things like anime and manga. But, now that I’ve found O!P, I’ve most definitely rekindled my love for all things idol!

For the time that I will be a Mini Cherry, my main focus I think will be my dancing. Honestly, I’ve been taking dance classes for 13 years now and I am just the worst! When I watched cherries’ acceptance video I just couldn’t believe all of the amazing dance talent I saw! And then it hit me that I am no where up to par with the rest of the girls orz ;;. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging though! I know with everyone’s help, we are all going to improve so so much. 

And, do you know what you will not lose to me in? Energy! ENERGY!! I do try to tone myself down around others and people that may find me annoying but, when I can, I am High✰Tension Cute!~ I want to be able to bring a smile to everyone’s faces, there’s no room for sadness, only cheerfulness!
