Hello everyone! This will be my last Mini Cherry blog forever, how scary is that?!

When I first auditioned it was a spur of the moment thing. I didn’t think I was good enough at all, but one of my mottos is to never to let an opportunity pass! I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t – boy was I right! When I found out I was one of the six extra Mini Cherries I didn’t stop shaking for about an hour, I couldn’t believe it! My motivation for auditioning for Oishii! Project was to practice my singing and be more confident in singing, which I have always been extremely shy about. I don’t have a very strong voice, but with motivation and encouragement from everyone in O!P I think I’ve made a huge improvement in my confidence – and my singing has gotten a lot better too!

The girls in Oishii made me feel like I was part of something, and treated me like a friend from the very beginning which I am so grateful for. A lot of the girls are sad that their time as a Mini Cherry is ending but I am looking straight forwards towards our goal with a smile on my face, and I know that leaving the Mini Cherries will not change my friendship with any of the girls at all. Now I can strive towards making Kiwi the best that it can be. All I can say thank you to the staff that picked me, the members who motivated me and the friends and fans who supported me whole heartedly.

I hope you will support the two new groups as well as the new Mini Cherries being announced soon.

Hello hello! Gosh what rainy weather we are having here in the UK! It’s hard to get out of my flat because of the puddles… My hometown has been hit with flooding though so I am one of the lucky ones.

This week I have been on a bit of a shopping spree! This weekend I am attending Hyper Japan but my outfit got lost in the post (゜´Д｀゜)゜ Instead I ran round the shops on Monday and came up with an alternative outfit, do you like it?

I’m really looking forward to this weekend, I can’t wait to take a break from studying and see some of the Oishii! UK members again!

I also bought an American baseball jacket as they are all the rage these days, it’s so warm and cosy!

My hair has been getting darker since the winter began and as there is little chance of me getting any sun until March, I’ve decided to use a lightening spray on my hair.

 

It’s doing its magic little by little so I’ll post a photo of my new brighter hair soon!

Oh dear. I just finished a blog post yesterday and now I have to write my last Mini Cherry post today (´；д；`) I just want to say that I’m so so happy to be part of the Oishii! Project. On the surface, O!P might look like this casual Internet idol group where young girls collaborate to create music. But this group impacted me greatly. I’m 18, still discovering who I really am and what I want to do in the future. When I started out as a Mini Cherry, I didn’t know how to represent myself to the audience. I thought my looks and style were lackluster and I thought the only way I could reach to people was through my singing. There was no way I could be as cute and bubbly as the rest. I didn’t have cute clothes or cute bangs. I didn’t have rosy cheeks or clear skin. But after watching how the other Mini Cherries worked so hard in developing their style, I was determined to build up my confidence. I used to be a timid glasses girl who always hid behind a wall, unsure of how to approach others. But what I wanted became clear to me. Cute, yet spunky. Feminine, but strong. This is Chikage’s goal! (*・∀-)☆ I want to be the girl and net idol who will show that anyone can be beautiful in their own ways as long as you have the confidence and strength.

I met two O!P members to date: Ichigo member, Jenny and Kiwi teammate, Hana. When I met these girls, it felt like we knew each other for a very long time! I don’t know why. I guess being in Oishii! makes you feel like you’re part of a family. Hana and Jenny motivated me so much to improve in the fields that I needed to work on. I will keep working hard and I will also keep supporting each and every individual member of O!P. They are so beautiful and talented, and I hope we can progress further in this project ヾ(´▽｀*;)ゝ”

I am extremely excited to find out who our new generation of Mini Cherries will be. I hope to get to know them more over time! To the future Mini Cherries, please do your best and stay dedicated! Don’t hesitate to ask questions! （●´∀｀）

And thank you to the managers who have guided us so well through our journey! It was really fun! Now it’s time to start on a new one (o≧▽ﾟ)o

29. Hana

Hello everyone, this is Hana’s final Mini Cherry Blog. 
みなさん、こんにちは。これはハナの最後の  「ミニチェリーブログ」です。

Yesterday was the official announcement of my debut, and I am now an Oishii!Kiwi member. You have no clue how thrilled I am to work these amazing girls.
However, it is a little sad to be separated from the other Mini Cherries in Oishii!Lychee, but no worries, O!P is still a large family, and I’ll always be in contact with the girls.

While, current events are taking on a snowball effect, I want this final blog post to be a reflection on what I’ve done so far:

I came into this project realizing that the management saw this form of potential in me to make O!P successful in the future. That’s a lot of pressure, don’t you think?
It means I have to train very hard to become better, stronger, and handle the responsibility as a net idol.
Instead of being scared of not being good enough, I put in all my effort. I couldn’t look back, I just had to try my best.

Since joining O!P I’ve lost over 5 lbs, which has been a challenge for me in last three years. I feel healthy and fit. I now can run 2 miles every day. The entire project, members and staff, know exactly how to motivate each other to do their best. My confidence has sky rocketed, and it has truly helped me along with my training.
My Japanese has improved since I’m currently enrolled in a Japanese course, so I continue practicing outside of class with the members and on my social networks.
The ukulele has always been my niche in this project, but I was only a beginner when I entered. After practicing my playing and singing everyday, I recently visited my father to play together. He was impressed by my improvements in the past 6 months, and now we can enjoy our ukulele duets any time. I hope you guys have also heard improvements, but I’m still learning.

I think the largest challenge was when I finally met Kiwi teammate, Chikage, in New York City. We performed “Aitakatta" by AKB48 at Reni Mimura’s Maid Cafe Re-Opening together. This was my first time singing and dancing in front of any audience. We were so nervous… we practiced very hard to show energy and a strong performance, and I think we got that through to the audience in the end. This was proof of how much we’ve grown together. When I finally met Chikage in person, it was like I’ve always known her. She’s truly a kind person, and she’s so bright; I admire her.

After the performance, J-pop star, Reni Mimura, signed her photocard for me. She wrote “you are a star, Hana-chan" and when she handed it over, she said “Keep going!" with her shining smile. I wanted to cry. She wants me to continue working hard, and I will not fail her. Moments after receiving the autograph, a very tall, young man came up to me, and congratulated me about the performance. He states he is a fan of mine from YouTube, and follows O!P’s updates. He came to this cafe for me….I’ve gotten through to a fan. It was truly a proud moment.



I hope to meet all of the other members at some point in time because we’re not just some performers in some online group….

We’re a family.

Thank you for the experience during my training, and with that, I believe I’m ready for the next step.

26. Chikage

Hi everybody! How are you doing? I hope everyone who is in the US is having a great Thanksgiving break! Here’s a picture of me getting ready to go home from my dorm!

A few days ago, I went to New York and met up with O!P teammate Hana! ♡ She traveled all the way from Maryland! It was awesome meeting her. And we performed in Reni Mimura’s re-opening of her maid cafe! I’m so happy that her maid show is back, after 6 months of absence (´；ω；｀) It was great seeing Reni and her maids perform again. Hana and I even met a few fans of Oishii! Project during the event! 

I’ll make a vlog about it soon. Here’s a screenshot of one the clips!

After the show, Hana and I spent the rest of the day in Times Square ( *｀ω´) We went out to eat, read books and window shop!

I had a great time with Hana  (´･ω･`) But I was sad that I had to part with her at the end of that day （ ；´Д｀）I miss her already. I hope to meet her again soon!

Happy November Oishii fans! It’s definitely getting colder now isn’t it? I’m already looking forward to Christmas, I need to pick presents for friends and family soon!

Looking back to the end of October, I attended London MCM Expo! It was brilliant! I got to meet so many great friends again! As well as spending Saturday with MK, I also got to see Kelsey’s performance in the Totally Cosplay stage, she was fantastic! I think I hurt my friend’s ears cheering for Fashion Monster （ノ´д｀） I’m sorry Charlotte! We stayed on to watch Oishii! Ichigo’s performance too, and I was blown away! I can’t wait for my album to arrive so I can listen to all the songs! The audience was so big as well, they had so many fans coming up to them at the end, it makes me excited to join them one day! Make sure to look out for the live performance on Oishii’s channel (you might be able to spot me at the end as well! Haha!).

On Sunday of Expo I also debuted a new cosplay, a horror version of Rin Kagamine for Halloween. I went to Expo with four of my best friends so we had Miku, Luka, Gumi and Teto too. We spent so long preparing and making our outfits I’m glad they were popular, here are some of my favourite photos:

I’m so happy my costume came together; I made my hat from scratch! Don’t the other girls look amazing too? It was a brilliant weekend!

I also have some more exciting news because I’m attending Hyper Japan in a few weeks! I haven’t been before so I’m really excited to see what it’s like. I’m staying at Scarlett’s over the weekend which is also going to be fun, thank you Scarlett! I’ve ordered a Japanese school uniform to wear over the weekend so I hope it comes soon >_< I wanted to get a Steampunk outfit together but I haven’t got enough time (ノД`)・゜・。

‘Hello again! Splodge here! Wow these last few weeks have been hectic for me, but so much fun! I’ve started my classes at university and joined the Japanese Society, the FAD Dance Society (‘Funky Arse Dancing’), and the Break Dancing Society!

My older brother joined the break dancing society at his university and loved it so I thought why not try out too! Beginners were welcome and I thought it would broaden my dance spectrum just a little bit more! So far we’ve only learnt basic technique but I’m enjoying it! Here’s an action shot me ‘CCing’!

FAD Dance class is a girls only dance class focusing on what they call ‘commercial’ dance. I don’t really have any friends there but it’s great to get new choreography ideas and keep fit each week! I attend the intermediate classes because I enjoy the routines but I may try the advanced classes in the New Year, just to keep me on my toes! There were also auditions for their dance troupe last week but I didn’t try out >_< I don’t think I’m good enough yet, but I may try next year!

This week my dad also visited me and bought me some nice cushions! Now I can finally make a nest on my bed when it’s so cold and rainy outside ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ The birds match my duvet!

I also bought some new nail polish this week with a cool effect! I can use it in two weeks time at London MCM Expo!

Eee I’m so excited! I get to see some Oishii! members plus the MK Dance Group, and I’m debuting a really complex new cosplay on Sunday! This is the only time it’s ever going to be worn so I’ll make sure to take lots of photos! I’ll give you a clue… It’s appropriate for this time of year, and may be a variation of a character you know well… If you’re going please come and say hi!’

Hello world! How are you all doing? ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

I wanted to be sparkly today

This is the first month of my first year in college. It’s been great, but also very stressful! I mentioned in my previous post that I’m an Engineering student, so my core classes can be quite challenging. Most of the time, I have to self-study and I can usually be found in computer labs, working on matrix laboratory work. I am still learning the basic functions but there’s a lot for me to get familiar with before the exam! ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ

Please wish me luck! （＾ｖ＾）As the week comes to an end and all the work is done, I get to relax! It’s quite nice. I also made new friends, joined clubs as well as the women’s choir! It’s such a great experience.  I’m also reading a book in the moment! It’s called Phantom of the Opera. I’m sure everyone’s heard of that musical, but I’m reading the novel version of it  (｀・ω・´)

Soon, September will come to an end and October will approach. And the month after that, it will be November! Which is when Oishii! Project auditions will be held! So if you’re interested, definitely try out! I can’t wait to see who will be our potential new members  (≧▽≦)

Good afternoon! Say hello to the new 19 year old Sophie! I feel old, hahaha! It was my birthday a few days ago, but I had no time to relax as I was moving! It’s my first year studying Journalism and I am now settled into University accommodation, here’s a photo of my room!

It’s small, but it’s cheap and I hope to make it more homely with cushions and pictures when I can! I share a kitchen with 6 other students, but I haven’t met them all yet! They are still arriving now, but the ones I have met are very nice! I hope they don’t mind me singing and dancing at all hours! My view is pretty nice too!

I have spent the last couple of days exploring my new home city and getting used to living on my own. It feels like I’m on holiday at the moment, but I’m sure once term starts it will feel less fun! The only thing I’m sad about is I have pre-ordered Oishii! Ichigo’s mini-album to be sent to my home address (/゜Д゜)/ I hope my mother sends it to me!

Last week I also did a photo shoot with my best friend in an apple orchard! It was a lot of fun, here are my favourite photos!

Good evening everyone! How are you? Hana here!

I want to update with what’s going on with my life. I hope you remember that I’m a university student.

I go to a liberal arts school to study for a graphic design degree.

Currently, I’m enrolled in a lot of challenging classes. Especially, my Japanese class!

My sensei is so strict, but I know it’s out of love because she really wants all of us to understand the language.

She’s extremely picky about handwriting since she was almost a national ranked calligrapher! ∑(O_O；)

Hopefully, I’ll be able to communicate with our Japanese fanbase as soon a possible, so I’m working hard on that!

I have a fair amount of textbooks this semester, but they’re not your conventional textbook I suppose…

The one on top isn’t a require book, but something I researched and discovered. I really like psychology and modern art.

This book, “The Age of Insight" combines both to discuss the human psyche while it observes art. 

Interesting, right? (◑‿◐)

The best part of starting school is your supplies. I’ll be generous and show you a peek of my essentials in my bookbag!

Hello, everyone! 

This is your budding blossom, Hana! (●´∀｀●) I’m so happy there’s so much love and support in the Oishii!Project. This has truly been an amazing opportunity to work hard towards my debut, but to also meet these lovely girls within the project. I suppose I should introduce myself a bit though…

I’m Hana and I’m an 18 year old university student! I’m working hard towards my Graphic Design degree because I’ve always loved to do art. I’ve been dancing since I was 4 years old. In all sorts of styles. You name it! 13+ years of ballet training, jazz, modern, lyrical, and hip-hop. I had to quit going to studio when I was 15, but that’s when I discovered the Youtube dancing community! I’m half Thai and half American, and I how I was raised in a diverse cultures. My dad was the one to introduce me into Asian pop culture. He also taught me ukulele! I can play only 4 songs, but I’m practicing to become a better musician. My favorite types of foods are ones that taste really sour or spicy, strong flavors are the best, but I’m not a picky eater at all. 

So before I ramble on, I’m ecstatic to be part of this project, and I hope to continue the legacy of O!P in the future. It was lovely talking to you!

Ahaha, excuse me for my bathroom pic =w= That room actually has the best lighting in my house.

Anyways, hello! This is Chikage. If you haven’t seen my first vlog or the intro videos yet check them out!~ Hmm, today I will mention some other things about myself, mostly about my interests in music. Firstly, I’m a total choir geek! I started choir 2 years ago and since then I’ve been involved in other choral activities such as select choir, church choir, hand bell choir, and North Jersey regional choir. I’ve also played the piano since I was six but then I stopped taking lessons after 5 years. So now I’m just playing this instrument as a hobby  and play some game music and anime songs :D

I enjoy listening to classical music, Broadway music, regular Jpop and 90s Jpop! My favorite composers are Chopin, Debussy, Nobuo Uematsu and Joe Hisaishi. 

Currently I’m addicted in listening to Jpop singers Aimer and Sako Tomohisa, who are both fairly new in the industry!  

My father is actually a diplomat so my family and I move to another country every 5-6 years. I currently live in the US as an international student and I’m about to attend university to study Engineering! I’m very excited :D

Lol, I hope this post wasn’t too long! ( >//< ) In any case, much has been done throughout the past two months so keep watch of  more updates from Oishii! Thanks for reading! ^o~

Hello there!

This is Sophie, with my first Oishii blog! Gosh I don’t know what to say ^_^” Telling someone about yourself is always hard! Hm… My Oishii introduction and my first blog covered the basics, maybe I should tell you some more interesting things about me, things that make me a little different than the other Cherries. Well, I play the saxophone, I love reading, I can’t draw to save my life, I love classical and acoustic music, my friends call me a Disney Princess, I love writing, I’ve never dyed my hair before, I love Kpop music, I love dogs and I’m also part of the MK Dance Group! 

At the moment I’m working hard on my Japanese grammar and my ability to pick out harmonies, but I’ll talk a little more on that next time!
